For everyone who could not wait to kick our lazy asses, here is the news: On Sunday the 6th of September 2009 we will have the 3rd "Yama Weekend Session" at our concrete Bowl Park in Hard/Austria as a part of the 18th cultural Transmitter Festival with music-, art- and political acts. The actual skateboard contest with 1000,- Euro price money will have an open session format and will be free to enter for everyone, who wants to take part in the action and it will be judged by the riders themselves. Also, there will be quite a few invited pro riders from all over Europe and of course the whole Yama Skateboards Team. Everyone here is looking forward to meet all you fuckers and enjoy this very special day at the park and in the water of the "Bodensee". To get an idea, what it will be all about, there is a small clip of our first session from 2005 on our website in media/videos. We are pleased to announce the Mental Weirdo Tour 2009. Yama and Carhartt skaters will be on a trip across Europe (France, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany and Austria) for one month and make demos and public sessions along their way from Hossegor to Munich.
This tour is launching the "Carhartt & Yama Mental Weirdo Asylum Series" - a cooperation of 4 skateboards between Carhartt and Yama Skateboards, a hardcore skateboard company based in Austria. The 4 boards are pro-models of skaters that skate both for Yama and Carhartt: David Martelleur from Belgium, Muki Rüstig, Ferit Batir from Austria and Patrick Munz from Germany. The boards designed by Elzo come with a set of 12 stickers, also created by him plus a T-Shirt available in Carhartt Stores and Yama´s network through Europe.
You can order these boards NOW via your usual Carhartt and Yama agent and they will be delivered by the end of July.

Hey folks,
it´s time for a little tour. So we can´t manage your orders for a few
days but we are back on the 13th of april! We are traveling through the
basque country and france to meet up some guys. Hope to see Ferit in
Getxo and the Koloss in Marseille. Stay tuned for some footage!!

... a little bit late...
The DIE DIST. don´t have a boost at the
bright tradeshow this year, but some of us will be there for some
beers. Visit our friends REBEL ROCKERS at boost 157 and make some
business with them, maybe you see Thorsten there sometimes for more
information of the other DIE DIST. companys... You know who they are...
Don´t you!? They are still there but back to the underground...
